The elusive tape dispenser captures the idea of something desired being difficult to attain.
The folded form neatly tucks away  the tape and also above or below surface level as a sleek and deceptive receptacle.

In search of a figure that felt elusive, my explorations landed strongest with forms that were angular and created shapes that offered varying perspectives for where the tape roll could be hidden. Intriguing enough to lead the eye away and sneaky enough to conceal and nestle the roll in a stable place when used under or on top of a resting area.
